A Squash and a Squeeze is based on the classic picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, first published in 1993. The story has become a staple of early years reading, loved for its clever structure and its message about gratitude and perspective.
This stage version is adapted by Barb Jungr and Samantha Lane, an Olivier nominated creative partnership known for imaginative family theatre. Samantha Lane directs the production, with music and sound design by Barb Jungr. Puppets are designed and made by Maia Kirkman Richards, with set design by Kate Bunce creating a flexible and inviting world on stage.
