Stick Man Announces Full Cast For Festive Seasons in London & Sheffield

A much-loved family show is heading back to the stage this Christmas, and we now know who’ll be bringing its famous characters to life.

This year is also a big milestone, with the production celebrating 15 festive seasons in London.

Stick Man, based on the book by Julia Donaldson with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, returns to London’s Bloomsbury Theatre from 3 December 2026 until 3 January 2027. For the first time, the show will also spend Christmas in Sheffield, playing The Montgomery from 5 December until 3 January.

In London, Wills Mercado will take the title role alongside Lalany Samuel as Stick Lady Love, marking her professional debut. Liam Bradbury joins them as Actor Muso, with Erin Rowlett appearing as Swing.

Sheffield gets a separate company led by Sam Makepeace-Beach as Stick Man and Freya Stephenson as Stick Lady Love. Toby Baddeley will play Actor Muso, while Rosie Malone returns to the production as Swing and Resident Director.

The stage adaptation follows Stick Man as an ordinary morning jog turns into a huge journey away from his family tree. The show brings Julia Donaldson’s story to life through puppetry and live music, creating a festive theatre trip aimed at the whole family.

The Sheffield company will continue the adventure after Christmas, taking Stick Man overseas in February 2027. They’ll perform at KidsFest in Hong Kong before heading to Singapore, giving this familiar festive favourite another international outing.
