Information we collect
Most people can use Theatre For Kids without giving us personal information.
We collect personal information in the following situations.
Mailing list
You can choose to join our mailing list to receive family theatre news, tour updates and information about upcoming shows.
When you subscribe, we collect your email address.
We use your email address only to send the emails you have signed up to receive and to manage your subscription.
Our legal basis for using your email address for this purpose is your consent.
You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.
We use MailerLite to manage the mailing list and send emails. This means your email address is stored and processed using MailerLite's systems on our behalf.
We do not sell our mailing list or give subscriber email addresses to other businesses for their own marketing.
How long we keep mailing list information
We keep your email address while you remain subscribed.
If you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited record of your unsubscribe request where needed to make sure we do not send you marketing emails again and to keep a record of your choice.
Technical and security information
Our website uses Cloudflare for services including website delivery, security and traffic information.
When you visit the website, Cloudflare may process technical information connected with requests made to the site. This can include information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, requested pages and security information.
We use this information to operate the website, protect it from attacks and abuse, and understand basic website traffic.
We do not use front-end visitor analytics to build profiles of individual visitors.
Where technical information amounts to personal information, we use it because we have a legitimate interest in running, protecting and maintaining the website.
Cloudflare controls the retention of some information held within its systems. Retention can vary depending on the Cloudflare service being used.
Cookies and similar technology
Theatre For Kids does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies for visitor profiling.
Our MailerLite signup form uses a cookie or similar browser storage to remember that the signup form has already been shown or dismissed.
Its purpose is to remember your choice so that the website does not repeatedly show you the same signup prompt.
We do not use this cookie to follow your activity across other websites or to create an advertising profile.
You can remove or block the setting of cookings by following this link.
You can also remove stored cookies using your browser settings, although browser settings are not the only method we provide for objecting.
Third-party links and affiliate tracking
When you click a link to a theatre, venue, ticket seller or another outside website, you leave Theatre For Kids.
The website you visit may collect information about you and may use cookies or other tracking methods under its own privacy policy.
Some of our links are affiliate links. These links may contain information that allows the ticket seller or affiliate provider to record that your visit came from Theatre For Kids and, where relevant, to credit Stageberry with commission.
The privacy practices of those third parties are controlled by them, not Stageberry.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or where reasonably needed to protect the website, our rights or other people.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we expect the service provider to use safeguards required by UK data protection law where those safeguards are needed.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to ask for a copy of information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete information, object to some uses of your information, or withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
